How did “Higher” come together?
The birth of “Higher” is nothing short of remarkable.

- WENZL’s manager suggested transforming it into an EDM/Afrobeats track, featuring a saxophone hook.

Meeting Sunkanmi in Lagos
Six months later, the UK-based record label 3Beat signed the track and dispatched WENZL to Lagos to collaborate with Sunkanmi and her crew.
- Upon arrival, Sunkanmi met him at the airport with dancers, and they launched spontaneous dance parties throughout the city.
- Even though some neighborhoods felt intimidating at first, the music transformed skeptics into smiling, dancing crowds.
