Modway creates furniture for design-savvy customers who desire high-end modern looks at an affordable price. Tuvya Greisman founded the company and sells to direct-to-customer and major retail partners. Greisman had a vision for design-forward furniture pieces that are both accessible and have quick fulfillment times.
“We recognized a gap in the market for well-designed, trend-forward furniture that could ship quickly and affordably. That inspired us to reimagine what furniture distribution and design could look like, offering modern, mid-century, and coastal-inspired collections that resonate with today’s consumers and designers,” Greisman says.
A vision to democratize designer aesthetics
Greisman aimed to bring trend-forward living to homes nationwide, democratizing designer aesthetics for every household. He utilized his over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur to craft Modway into what it is today, bringing his vision to life. His expertise in e-commerce, sourcing, and product innovation laid the foundation for this continually expanding furniture brand.
“Modway brings high-end design sensibility to mass distribution. Instead of being defined solely by logistics, we emphasize design first, launching bold new styles seasonally across upholstery, bedroom, dining, living, outdoor, lighting, and office furniture,” the CEO explains.
Design-first approach
Modway’s design team uses materials such as marble, wood, rattan, performance fabrics, vegan leather, and concrete finishes to create bold silhouettes with heavy modern and mid-century influences. These pieces enhance the personal space of any household.
The furniture also boasts coastal inspirations to keep up with current trends. The design team works diligently to keep track of the latest shifts in customers’ preferences and lifestyles to maintain a fresh and relevant catalog that not only keeps ahead of market trends but often sets them.
The furniture brand now has over 10,000 SKUS that will appeal to a diverse customer base. These items include bedroom, dining, lighting, living, office, and outdoor furniture.
Modway launches new collections throughout each season, so there is always something new for customers to discover for their work and home environments.
Balancing scale & creativity
Modway aspires to create a boutique brand feel while providing mass distribution capabilities.
“Balancing mass distribution with a strong design identity has always been our goal,” Greisman shares.
Modway has dedicated itself to maintaining efficient logistics and warehousing while investing in the design team’s innovation, trend research, and product development.
“At a recent Las Vegas Market, a designer visiting our showroom said, ‘This is the first booth that feels like a brand, not just a supplier.’ That comment reflects what we’ve been working toward: furniture that’s not just functional or trendy, but that expresses a lifestyle,” Greisman adds.
Modway continues to be a major exhibitor at the Las Vegas Furniture Market and High Point Market, and the brand’s furniture has been seen regularly on TV, social media, and in print media campaigns. Modway furniture has been featured on shows such as HGTV Home, Apartment Therapy, Domino, Brit+Co, Architectural Digest, and Dwell.
Modway’s mission for the future as an affordable lifestyle brand is to continue to be at the forefront of modern furniture design providing contemporary home decor for its customers. The brand plans to expand its lifestyle collections by reaching potential customers through physical and digital spaces, such as its social media presence.
“We envision Modway becoming a household name for affordable modern furniture. We’re aiming to lead the next wave of accessible, design-driven living,” Greisman concludes.
